Welcome to my blog!

Update 3/27/2023 Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know that starting the 1st of April that 'Neptunia Heart Soul' will be wrapping up it's first arc! Questions will be answered, loose ends will be tied up, Neptune and Nepgear will be going back home! I have to be honest. This trip has been really long and exhausting. Not only for Neptune and Nepgear, but also for myself. To be honest. It's been hard trying to figure out different ways to keep going. There were times since I started writing this story, that I sat down and decided this would be the final chapter. However, something kept me going. Now that I'm nearing the end, I'm really excited to see what happens next and I hope you are too! When the 30th of April roles around, I hope I'm posting the final chapter of "Neptunia Heart Souls'! We'll talk about the next arc later.

Neptunia Heart Souls- CHAPTER 4

Neptune quickly scrambled to her feet before she grabbed Nepgear by the hand. “Nepgear! We need to run!” Neptune said, her eyes were as wide as saucers.

“What’s wrong Neptune?” Nepgear asked, allowing Neptune to pull her up.

“Didn’t you hear her? We have a lot to discuss! That means she has a ton of work for us! We should run home and play videogames or something.” Said Neptune.

Histoire watched the entire scene play out, before she giggled. “You haven’t changed at all Neptune, despite everything that’s happened.” Neptune and Nepgear turned their attention to the small girl. “I’m sorry. I should introduce myself more properly. My name is Histoire and I’m the oracle of Planeptune.”

“It’s nice to meet you.” Nepgear said, nervously. “My name is Nepgear and this is my sister Neptune.”

“Yo.” Neptune said, saluting.

“I would say it’s a pleasure to meet you both, but I’ve had the pleasure of meeting you two before this.” Said Histoire.

Nepgear took a step towards the hologram. “I’m sorry miss Histoire, but this doesn’t really make any sense. According to records, you used to be the oracle of Planeptune. You worked beside lady Purple Heart, correct? How could you possibly know us?” Nepgear asked, gesturing between herself and her sister.

“That’s a good question. I could say that it’s because I’m the worlds everything, but that’s not it. I used to know you two very well, but for some reason I can’t remember all the details.”

“Amnesia, huh? I have no idea what that’s like.” Neptune said, crossing her arms in front of her chest.

“I do know this however. I know everything about this world because I’m the worlds everything. I can alter reality itself by simply writing things in the pages of my tome.” Said Histoire.

“How though?” Nepgear asked, confused.

“I’m not sure myself. My memories are spotty, but thanks to you two I’ve had some of my memories restored.” Said Histoire.

“I’m picking up what you’re laying down.” Neptune said, warily.

“Unfortunately my memories can’t be completely restored unless all the Fairy Towers are activated.” Said Histoire.

“And there it is folks! More work!” Neptune said.

“I apologize Neptune, but this is very important.” Histoire said, folding her hands together in front of her.

“I get that, but it’s still a lot of work. Can’t you help us out?” Neptune asked.

“Of course.” Histoire said. “Now that you’ve activated this Fairy Tower, I can give you the pinpoint locations of all the Fairy Towers in this region. I can say that you need to activate two more.” Said Histoire.

“This region?” Nepgear asked.

“Yes. Unfortunately it seems there are more Fairy Towers that need to be activated, but I can only hone in on the three located in Planeptune.” Histoire explained.

“Okay. Well that’s pretty cool.” Nepgear said.

“What else can you do for us Histoire?” Neptune asked.

Histoire smiled warmly. “Tell me. Have you girls battled any monsters recently?” The small tome asked.

“Of course! We were cracking the skulls of all kinds of monsters before!” Said Neptune, smiling proudly.

“Excellent. Few people know this, but when you defeat monsters in Gamindustri, you gather something called share energy. Share Energy is the faith of people who live in Gamindustri. Even though you can’t physically see this energy, it has entered your body and you can use that to increase your strength, endurance and other things.” Said Histoire

“Seriously?” Neptune said, surprised.

“That is correct.” Said Histoire. “All you have to do is touch the terminal below and you’ll be able to move your share energy into several different ways. Not only that, but when you touch this terminal all your injuries are healed. Pretty convenient, huh?”

“That is!” Nepgear said, her eyes were sparkling now. “Um… Miss Histoire? Would it be okay if I take the Fairy Tower apart? I promise I’ll put it back exactly the way it was!”

“Absolutely not!” Histoire said, sternly. “I see you haven’t changed either Nepgear. You always want to take things apart, well in this case you can’t!”

“Aww… Sis you convince her.” Nepgear said, gently pinching Neptune’s shirt sleeve in her fingers.

“Uh sorry sis o’ mine. I don’t see Histoire budging on this.” Neptune said, turning her eyes away from her sister’s pleading face. “Anyways, we should check out that terminal. Maybe you can figure things out that way.”

“I will allow you to touch the terminal, but if I see a screwdriver, wrench, or anything else I will shock you.” Histoire warned.

“Alright…” Nepgear said. “I forgot my tools anyways.”

Nepgear and Neptune made their way to the terminal located beneath the Fairy Tower. Thankfully the terminal had several ports and they were both able to check it out at the same time.

Neptune saw that she could increase five of her stats. Strength, Defense, Health, Magic and Stamina. “Neat!” Neptune said, looking the stats over. “I can’t really increase my stats too much, so I’ll go with strength for now.”

“I’ll go with defense.” Said Nepgear. After Nepgear finished with her stats, she began pounding information into the terminal. After a few moments she realized there wasn’t much to see. “I found the location of the other Fairy Towers in this area, but I don’t see any other information.”

“That’s because I’m this Fairy Towers CPU. If you have any questions, I’ll answer them.” Said Histoire.

“Really?” Nepgear said, surprised. “So what’s the purpose of the Fairy Towers?” Asked Nepgear.

“It’s to gather information from this world and store it. Also it’s used to help adventures become stronger.” Said Histoire.

“Who created the Fairy Towers?” Asked Nepgear.

“Unfortunately I don’t have that information right now.” Said Histoire.

“Alright… How did you communicate with us through our dreams?” Nepgear asked.

“Good question.” Said Histoire. “But you’re mistaken. I didn’t communicate with you at all.”

“Liar liar mini skirt on fire!” Neptune said. “I heard you in my dream. So did lady Purple Heart!”

“I apologize, but you are mistaken.” Histoire began. “It’s true that someone named Histoire did contact you, but it wasn’t me. I’m the CPU of this Fairy Tower and the CPU that you’re currently speaking to was modeled to resemble her.”

“So you’re not the real Histoire?” Nepgear asked.

“That is correct, though I’m sure if she were here she would say that we were apart of each other.” Histoire said. “As for your question Nepgear. The real Histoire has a lot of power. I’m sure it was a small feat to contact Neptune and lady Purple Heart in their dreams.”

“I see.” Nepgear said. “Well you answered some of my questions, but I’m left with a dozen more.”

“I understand.” Histoire said, smiling warmly.

“I have a question for you. A real head scratcher too!” Said Neptune. “If you aren’t the real Histoire, how do you know anything about us?”

“That’s a good question.” Histoire said. “I don’t have information on that, but I can hypothesize that the real Histoire wanted all the Histoire CPUs to share the same memory. I am required to give you two preferential treatment.”

“In what way?” Nepgear asked.

“Well I’m here to help adventurers, but I’m not authorized to share a lot of information with them. With you two however, there are no restrictions.” Said Histoire.

“Interesting…” Nepgear said, closing her eyes and thinking hard. “This doesn’t make any sense. Me and my sister are nobodies. Why would this CPU be set up like this? It doesn’t make any sense.”

“Gamindustri to Nepgear! Your big sister is worried about you, over!” Neptune said.

Nepgear opened her eyes. “Sorry sis. I was just thinking.”

“Don’t think too hard about this Nepgear. I feel like we should just go with the flow.” Said Neptune.

“Easy for you to say…” Nepgear said, in a small voice. “Anyways. Thanks Histoire.”

“Of course Nepgear.” Histoire said, nodding her head. “I have a feeling that I’ll be able to answer your questions in a more satisfactory way once more Fairy Towers are activated. I would also suggest that you two spend some time increasing your stats before you leave for the next tower.” Said Histoire. “Nepgear? Before you leave please remember something. The real Histoire might have reached out to your sister, but you’re just as important to this task as she is. Not simply because you’ll provide her backup, but because of who you are.”

Nepgear smiled warmly at Histoire. “Thanks!” She said, though Histoire’s comment did leave her with a question. “Who am I to you Histoire?” She asked herself.

After Nepgear retrieved the USB memory stick, she and her sister headed back to Planeptune.

Once the Nep’s returned from their journey, they wanted to go home. Nepgear wanted to reflect on everything she was told, while Neptune wanted to play videogames while eating pudding. Unfortunately the girls had another task they had to complete before they did anything.

Now standing in the Basilicom, the two girls waited anxiously for lady Purple Heart to arrive.

“I’m sorry, but lady Purple Heart is in an important meeting right now. It might take her a little time to get back to you.” Said one of the Basilicom’s staff.

“That’s alright.” Said Nepgear. “We can wait.”

“It’s pudding time.” Neptune said, in a sad voice.

“Be patient big sis.” Nepgear said. “I’m sure the lady will be here soon.”

The room the two girls stood in was enormous, but also empty. The walls were covered in drapes, but there were no windows to cover up. A large throne was located at the front of the room, but it almost seemed lonely.

Before Nepgear or Neptune could take the room in, a large door opened and lady Purple Heart rushed in. “Sorry to keep you two waiting.” Lady Purple Heart said. “Meeting ran long.”

“That’s alright.” Nepgear said. “We have an update for you about the Fairy Towers.”

“Plural?” Lady Purple Heart said.

Nepgear and Neptune told lady Purple Heart everything that had happened to them and everything Histoire had explained. When they were finished, lady Purple Heart didn’t say anything. Instead she scratched her chin thoughtfully and started pacing back and forth. “That’s quite the story.” Lady Purple Heart said, finally breaking her own silence.

“What do you want us to do now?” Asked Nepgear.

Lady Purple Heart didn’t say anything. Instead she turned to Neptune and Nepgear. “Do you mind continuing with your journey and activating the other Fairy Towers?” She asked.

“I don’t mind, but going so long without puddings or videogames is going to be tough.” Said Neptune.

“I agree.” Said Nepgear.

“You do?” Neptune said, surprised.

“Well not about the puddings and videogames, but this is going to be tough. We might need to do some training like Histoire recommended.” Said Nepgear.

Lady Purple Heart smiled brightly. “In that case, I have an idea, but it’ll take a few days to get everything ready. Are you two okay with that?”

“It’s cool!” Neptune said. “Take all the time you need!”

“You’re just saying that because you want to laze around the house all day.” Nepgear said.

“That is true.” Said Neptune.

“We need to go out and hunt monsters to get stronger.” Nepgear said. “I increased my defense, but I don’t feel any different.” Nepgear looked down at her body. “I might not feel any difference until we get even stronger.”

“That is also true.” Said Neptune.

“I understand what you’re saying Nepgear, but please wait before you head back out. I think you two will be really happy with what I have in mind.” Said lady Purple Heart, patting both Nep’s on the shoulder.

Nepgear took a deep breath before she nodded her head. “I understand. We’ll wait like you asked us to.”

“Excellent!” Lady Purple Heart said. “I’ll be in touch. Meanwhile take it easy and get some rest. I have a feeling that this whole quest is going to lead into something much bigger in the future. I just hope we can handle it.”
