After the girls finished activating the second Fairy Tower, they stood in front of the large contraption trying to think about what to do next. “I was able to increase my stats a little, but I feel like we should do some more training before we leave.” Nepgear said, tapping her lower lip thoughtfully.
“That’s a good idea.” Said Vert. “I’ve managed to increase my strength, but if I could I wish I could lower my defense.”
“Why’s that?” Nepgear asked, confused.
“Well…” Vert didn’t say anything more. Instead she strolled up to Nepgear and hugged her close to her chest. “You see? I’m worried my hugs will become less comfortable and warm.”
“I… See…” Nepgear said, her voice shook in her throat.
“Gosh darn it Vert!” Neptune cried, as she grabbed Nepgear by the shoulders and tried to pull her away. “Get off my little sister!”
“As you can see…” Vert began, holding up her hands. “I’m not holding onto her.”
“Nepgear!” Neptune cried. “You traitor face!”
Nepgear’s eyes were closed and her cheeks were bright red, but when she heard the voice of her sister she opened her eyes and quickly stepped away from Vert. “I-I’m sorry Neptune! I was… I mean to say.”
“Are you saying my hugs aren’t good enough for you?” Neptune asked, as she hugged Nepgear close to her chest.
Nepgear giggled and nuzzled close to her sister, but her cheeks didn’t go as red as they did when she was buried face first between Vert’s chest. “They’re nice.” Said Nepgear, giggling once more.
Neptune growled under her breath. “Fine. Whatever. I don’t even care anymore.” Neptune said, as she crossed her arms in front of her chest. “What should we do now? 5pb. took all our cooking gear and most of our pudding. I hate saying it, but I don’t want to go back to eating soup in a cup!”
“We could make a quick pit stop at a village.” Nepgear offered.
“Yes, but are there any villages around here?” Asked Vert.
Neptune, Nepgear and Vert began looking around the area until their eyes fell on Histoire. “Uh… Histoire? A little help please.” Nepgear said.
“Of course.” Histoire closed her eyes. A moment later a beeping noise came from Nepgear’s N-Device. Nepgear glanced down at the screen. “Oh wow! You updated my map with all the villages and cities located in Leanbox! Thanks Histoire!” Nepgear said, as she happily began pressing different locations with her fingers.
“You’re very welcome.” Said Histoire.
“You can do all that, but you can’t tell us the location of the other Fairy Tower’s or give us more than one memory stick? You’re a junky calculator aren’t you Histoire?” Neptune said.
“What did you just say to me?!” Histoire fumed. “How dare you! You bring me a calculator and I’ll show you what I can do compared to it!” Histoire roared, as she waved her tiny little fists in the air.
“Whoa… I pissed Histoire off. She’s Pisstoire right now!” Neptune said, giggling at her own joke.
“Now calm down sweetie!” Said Vert, holding up her hands. “I think you’re a brilliant girl and if I could, I would hug you right now and make you my little sister.”
Histoire looked up at Vert. “Thank you Vert. At least you appreciate me.”
“I appreciate you too! My sister’s awful.” Said Nepgear.
“Betrayal!” Neptune cried. “I expected Vert to stab me in the back, but Nepgear? How sad…” Neptune covered her face with both of her hands and pretended to cry.
“Anyways. There’s actually a small village located a mile away in that direction.” Said Nepgear, pointing towards the Northeast. Neptune looked up quickly and turned in the direction that Nepgear was pointing.
“Very well. I shall go.” Neptune said. “I’ll show you two how reliable I can be!” Said Neptune, as she sat her backpack down and started jogging away.
“Sis? Are you sure you don’t want us to come too?” Nepgear called after her sister.
“It’s fine!” Neptune called back. “Wait… What if Vert takes this opportunity to seduce my little sister?” Neptune halted in her tracks and turned back to Vert and Nepgear. “Hey Vert? No increasing your lily rank while I’m away! You hear me?!”
“No promises…” Vert said, in a low voice.
And with that, Neptune turned back around and continued making her way towards the village that Nepgear pointed out. As Neptune ran, her mind wondered. She thought about Noire and Uni and what they were currently doing that day. She wondered if 5pb. would truly be okay and wished that she could have heard her new friend sing live on stage. Of course Neptune also thought about Compa and IF and wondered how Arfoire was doing.
When Neptune spotted the small village on the horizon, a large smile appeared on her face. “There it is! Now to become Speed Neptune!” Neptune started running even faster than before and quickly closed the distance between herself and the small village.
However, before Neptune reached the village she noticed something odd. A small cat-like girl was riding on top of a small yellow creature. Neptune slowed herself down so she could walk behind the strange girl and the creature. “Uh-oh nyuu.” The catgirl said, as she turned to face Neptune. “I’m being stalked nyuu.”
“Hi there!” Neptune said, giggling. “My name’s Neptune and I bet your name is Puchiko! Right?”
“My name’s Broccoli nyuu.” The catgirl said.
“Okay Puchiko.” Said Neptune.
“Broccoli nyuu.” Said the catgirl, annoyed.
“It’s cool Puchiko.” Said Neptune, waving her hand dismissively.
Broccoli groaned loudly under her breath as she narrowed her eyes at Neptune. “You don’t listen nyuu.”
“Anyway, do you live in this village?” Neptune asked.
Broccoli shook her head. “I’m just visiting nyuu.” Broccoli said. “What about you nyuu?”
“’I’m just visiting as well.” Said Neptune.
“I see-” Broccoli began, but Neptune cut her off.
“For you see! I’m on a perilous journey with my darling little sister and our sus companion! Our journey is taking us all over the world in order to activate several Fairy Towers in order to gain back our stolen memories! Can Neptune save the world? Yes she can!” Neptune proclaimed.
“You went from retaking stolen memories to saving the world nyuu.” Broccoli said, feeling annoyed.
“Anyways, that’s how it is.” Neptune said, shrugging her shoulders. “So what now?”
“Don’t ask me nyuu.” Said Broccoli.
“Right… You’re not part of my party. I should get going. Sorry for bothering you Puchiko.” Neptune said.
“It’s Broccoli nyuu!” Broccoli said, feeling even more annoyed then before.
Neptune made her way into the village and stopped at the first store she found. After buying some more cooking equipment, pudding and other items to cook with, Neptune headed outside.
“Well, well!” Neptune said, noticing that Broccoli was floating towards her. “Did you miss me already?”
“No nyuu.” Broccoli said, rolling her eyes. “I’m just getting here myuu. Gema is slow nyuu.”
“Who’s Gema nyuu?” Neptune asked.
“Nyuu is something only Broccoli is allowed to say nyuu!” Broccoli proclaimed. “And gema is gema nyuu!”
“I get it.” Neptune said, dully.
“No you don’t nyuu!” Broccoli said, the small girl was now trembling with anger. “I’m tired of this nyuu! I’m going to blast you with my eye lasers now nyuu!” Broccoli opened her eyes wide.
At first Neptune merely furrowed her brow in confusion, but soon Broccoli’s eyes began to shine very brightly. “Uh-oh…” Neptune said, as she shielded her face with her hands. Instead of getting blasted with a laser beam, instead the ground was covered in a strange green goop.
“Gross!” Neptune cried, as she stepped away from the goop.
“Eye beam failed, but Broccoli is very strong!” Broccoli said, as she flexed her small arms.
Neptune couldn’t help, but giggle. “I can see that. Alright Broccoli, you can join our party if you want!”
“Really nyuu?” Broccoli said, feeling a mixture of surprise and joy. “Broccoli will be able to show off her incredibly strength now.”
“That’s right!” Neptune said. “And maybe you’ll get Vert‘s hugs instead of Nepgear.” Neptune muttered under her breath.
“What was that nyuu?” Broccoli asked.
“N-Nothing!” Neptune said.
“Very suspicious nyuu.” Broccoli said.
Neptune giggled as she gracefully leapt over the green goop on the ground and moved in front of Broccoli. “Alright! Let’s get going Puchiko.”
“Broccoli nyuu!” Broccoli said, angrily.
Neptune and Broccoli moved side-by-side through the village and soon made their way back to where Vert and Nepgear were waiting. To Neptune’s horror, Vert was sitting on the ground leaning against the Fairy Tower, while Nepgear was leaning against her. Nepgear’s eyes were closed and both girls looked like they were asleep.
“Wake up!” Neptune snapped.
Vert and Nepgear opened their eyes. “Oh! Sis! Sorry about that!” Nepgear said, getting to her feet.
“Nothing to apologize for Nepgear. We were just taking a nap together. Nothing unusual for sisters to do.” Said Vert.
“It is when you aren’t sisters! Nepgear is Neptune’s sister exclusively!” Neptune cried, as she sat down her purchases and picked Broccoli up off of Gema. “Here! I got you this! You can adopt her as your sister!”
“Broccoli is not up for adoption nyuu!” Broccoli cried.
“Sister… Who sit hat?” Nepgear asked.
“This is Puchiko.” Neptune said.
“Broccoli’s name is Broccoli, nyuu!” Broccoli said, sighing deeply.
“Neptune… You didn’t take her by force did you? Just because she’s cute?” Nepgear asked, nervously.
“Oh please, nyuu. Broccoli is an adult nyuu.” Broccoli siad.
“That’s right and she’s all yours!” Neptune said, as she dumped her into Vert’s arms.
Vert didn’t say anything. Instead she looked down into Broccoli’s eyes, before her cheeks grew bright red in color. “Oh my! Oh my! Will you be my little sister Broccoli?” Vert asked, hugging the girl closer to her chest.
“Hmph!” Broccoli cried, as she was hugged tightly to Vert’s chest.
Nepgear’s shoulders sagged. “I don’t know how to feel about this. Now I don’t have any big sister.”
“What are you talking about?” Neptune cried. “I’m your big sister!” Neptune reached for Nepgear’s hand, but before she could take it, Vert had snatched the young girl away and was now hugging her as well.
“Don’t fret sweetheart! I have enough love for two little sisters! I have love for three and four more a swell!” Vert said.
Neptune sighed deeply. “Fine. I’m done fighting it.” Neptune stomped over to Vert and wrapped her arms around the girl’s waist. “Big sister?” She said, batting her eyelashes at Vert.
Vert, Nepgear and Neptune all started to laugh. Broccoli on the other hand started to wonder if joining them was a good idea after all.
After the girls broke their embrace, Nepgear looked into the bags of items that Neptune had bought. “I’m surprised. You got everything we needed.” Nepgear said. “Though I can see you bought more pudding. You really should give pudding a break Neptune. Eating this much can’t be healthy for you.”
“Not true, not true, not true at all!” Neptune said. “I heard pudding is actually very healthy for you! Haven’t you heard the old saying? A pudding a day-”
“-Makes the doctor come everyday, nyuu?” Broccoli said, finishing Neptune’s sentence.
Vert and Nepgear started giggling. “She’s got you there Neptune.” Said Vert.
“Yes…” Neptune said, narrowing her eyes at Broccoli. “She sure did…”
“Anyways Broccoli, dear?” Vert began, grabbing Broccoli’s attention. “Let me explain what our journey is about. After that you can officially decide if you want to stay or not. It will be dangerous though.”
“Broccoli can handle it, nyuu.” Broccoli said. “Besides. Neptune told Broccoli that you’re traveling around activating Fairy Towers, right nyuu?”
“That’s correct. Every time we activate a new Fairy Tower, everyone in the world seems to remember something. Were also trying to unseal someone named Histoire who’s been sealed away.”
“Broccoli sees, nyuu.” Broccoli said, crossing her arms in front of her chest. “Broccoli will help.”
“Thanks Broccoli!” Vert said, patting Broccoli on top of the head. “And as your new big sister please rely on me to spoil you anytime you want! Okay?”
Neptune sighed deeply. “I better get used to this, huh Nepgear?”
Nepgear nodded. “Yep! Vert’s going to be Vert after all!”

Neptunia Heart Souls- CHAPTER 62
The sun was shining brightly over head that particular morning, as Neptune, Nepgear, Vert and 5pb. continued their quest to locate the second Fairy Tower in Leanbox. As the girls walked, they talked amongst themselves, but for some reason 5pb. was keeping quiet. 5pb. Held onto both of the straps of her backpack as she looked down at her feet.
“Are you okay?” Nepgear asked, in a small voice.
5pb. yelped, which caught the attention of both Vert and Nepgear who were walking ahead of them. “Sorry about that.” 5pb. said, smiling at the two girls. Once Neptune and Vert looked away, 5pb.’s smile vanished.
“What’s wrong 5pb.?” Nepgear asked, concerned.
5pb. nearly yelped again, but she managed to keep it in. “Oh. I almost forgot you were there.” She said.
“I see…” Nepgear said, suddenly feeling a bit sad about her lack of presence.
“Oh no. I didn’t mean it like that.” 5pb. said, trying to reassure the girl. “I’ve just been thinking about a few other things. That’s all.”
“Anything wrong though?” Nepgear asked.
5pb. shook her head. “No. Nothing’s wrong.”
As much as 5pb. wanted to tell everyone her news, she needed a little more time to prepare herself. So she kept her worries to herself and continued walking along with everyone else. “They’re going to find out soon enough.” 5pb. thought.
Vert suddenly halted in her tracks and pointed straight ahead of them. “Hark! A forest!”
“Hark? Are you trying to seem fancy or something?” Neptune asked, giggling.
“Yes. I heard someone say it in an RPG once, so I decided to give it a try.” Said Vert, giggling as well. “Nepgear dear? How far away is the Fairy Tower now?” Vert asked, glancing over her shoulder at Nepgear.
Nepgear removed her N-Gear and looked down at the screen. “It looks like the Fairy Tower is located on the other side of this forest. It’s not very big. As long as we keep moving straight ahead we’ll reach the other side in a few hours.” Said Nepgear.
“That’s nice.” Said 5pb.. “I love taking hikes through forests and singing.”
“Cool! Maybe you could serenade us with a song!” Neptune suggested.
“That would be nice, but it’s probably a bad idea. Leanbox forests are filled with all kinds of strong monsters.” Said Vert.
“Aww… Well maybe you can sing for us later.” Said Neptune, looking hopefully at 5pb..
“Sure!” 5pb. said, happily.
With those words the girls made their way to the forest. They searched for a trail they could follow, but found nothing of use. “Well stay close and maybe we won’t get lost.” Nepgear suggested.
“Good idea.” Said Neptune, as she leapt into the forest first. “I win! That means-” Neptune began, but a serious look suddenly appeared on her face. Somewhere in the forest the girl spotted something that looked silvery.
“Goo! Dogoo!” Came a voice.
Neptune quickly summoned her katana and sliced through a silvery colored dogoo that launched an attack at her. “A Metal Dogoo!” Vert cried, as she summoned her spear.
Nepgear summoned her energy sword while 5pb. pulled out her guitar. After that, the four girls started running forwards. More and more Metal Dogoo attacked the girls, but they were able to defend themselves.
Neptune’s katana cut through three more Metal Dogoo that launched themselves at her. Nepgar managed to slay one, Vert managed to kill two leaping Metal Dogoo, while 5pb. didn’t see any enemies for her to fight. The girls continued to move forwards for several moments before they stopped running. “Yippie skippy! Yahoo! I think we got them all you guys!” Neptune cheered.
“Uh…” Vert began.
Neptune looked back at Vert, before turning her eyes to where Nepgear and 5pb. were moments before.
“Did we lose them already?” Neptune asked.
“I’m afraid so.” Vert said, sighing deeply. “I would suggest we try to find them, but they know our goal is the Fairy Tower located on the other side of this forest. I think they’re going to be alright without us.”
“Yeah…” Neptune said, sighing deeply. A small smile appeared on Neptune’s face as she placed her left hand on her hip. “And just when they told us not to get lost.”
***
Nepgear led the charge through the forest, but soon realized that she had left Neptune and Vert behind. 5pb. awkwardly followed close behind her. “I think we lost everyone.” Nepgear said, scratching her right cheek thoughtfully. “I bet sis is going to lecture me when we reunite.”
“You and your sister seem really close.” 5pb. said. “Kind of makes me jealous.”
“You and Vert are close, right?” Nepgear asked.
“We are, but I don’t always live with her. Vert let’s me spend a few weeks with her when I’m touring Leanbox.” Said 5pb..
“Really? That’s really nice of her.” Said Nepgear.
“Yeah and I really do appreciate it, but…” 5pb. Began, but quickly stopped talking. “Oops. I almost spilled the beans.” 5pb. thought to herself.
“5pb. I know it’s none of my business and I don’t mean to pry, but you’re acting a bit strange. Are you sure there’s nothing bothering you? You can talk to me you know.” Said Nepgear.
5pb. shook her head, but her shoulders sagged, giving away her true feelings. “Alright. I’ll tell you.” 5pb. said, swallowing hard. “The truth is. I can’t stay with you and everyone for much longer.”
“Oh no. Why?” Nepgear asked, concerned.
“It’s just that… My next tour is starting in a few days and I’m going to have to leave everyone.” 5pb. said.
“That’s alright. We can travel with you.” Said Nepgear.
“It’s not as simple as all that.” Said 5pb.. “The stops on my tour don’t last a single night. Most of them will last several days. My last stop will actually keep me in this one city for several weeks.”
“Oh…” Nepgear said, nodding several times. “I understand 5pb. and you know what? That’s okay. You have your job as a performer to think about. Neptune and Vert will understand, I’m sure of it.”
“I know… You’re right, but I feel like I’m letting everyone down.” Said 5pb., sighing deeply.
“Don’t feel that way.” Nepgear said, gently patting 5pb. on the shoulder. “You’re not letting anyone down. I promise.”
“Really? Thanks.” Said 5pb..
“Now. Let’s get going. I have a feeling that Neptune and Vert are heading towards the Fairy Tower.” Said Nepgear.
“Right.” 5pb. said, nodding.
Nepgear turned to lead the way, but before she could take a single step a girl appeared. The girl had golden hair, red eyes and wore a large flower like a skirt. “What the…” Nepgear began.
“It’s an Aluna!” 5pb. cried. “It’s a monster!”
The Aluna monster held up it’s hands as wind struck Nepgear sending the girl flying backwards. Nepgear slammed her feet into the ground and grinded to a halt. “Whoa… This thing…” Nepgear began.
“I got it!” 5pb. said, as she strummed her guitar. Energy balls shot out of 5pb.’s guitar, striking the creature several times before it vanished in a bright flash of light.
“I won’t lie 5pb.. I’m going to miss that when you leave.” Nepgear said, giggling.
5pb. couldn’t help, but giggle as well.
***
“Huh? I think I just heard 5pb.’s guitar.” Vert said, cupping her hands around her ears. “And it sounds like she’s in a good mood too!”
Neptune looked at Vert for a few moments before she blushed heavily. “Aww Vert! You don’t have to show off for me. I’m already impressed with you!” Neptune said, before she hugged herself tightly and started laughing in a goofy manner.
Vert shook her head. “I wasn’t trying to show off.” Said Vert. “So tell me Neptune. How long have you and your sister been traveling anyways?”
“About two months.” Said Neptune. “It’s hard to believe, but a lot of times gone by since we started out on this journey. Lot’s of fun things have happened too. Oh and some not so fun things as well.”
“I see.” Said Vert. “Well you’ll remember the fun times more then the bad times I’m sure.”
“You sure sound like an expert.” Neptune said. “You’ve never gone on a journey like this before, right?”
“No… Not outside a game.” Said Vert.
Neptune giggled. “I always think about games too. You’re a girl after my own heart.” Said Neptune.
Vert giggled. “Well I’ve had some fun adventures in games before. Camping out with friends. Hunting monsters and gathering items. It’s a lot of fun when you do it with other people. Though offline games can be just as fun too.”
“Yeah. I agree.” Said Neptune.
Neptune and Vert continued to make their way through the forest. They rounded large trees, moved through bushes and occasionally fought more Metal Dogoo. As the girls walked, they kept their eyes and ears open for Nepgear and 5pb..
Just as Neptune rounded a large tree, her eyes fell on a giant armored turtle. The turtle was much bigger than she was and it even had a palm tree growing out of it’s back. The turtle’s eyes fell on Neptune and it hissed loudly at her.
“Look at that thing!” Neptune said, aiming the tip of her sword at the creature. “I bet it’s worth a ton of share energy!”
“Yes. Let’s beat it up!” Vert said.
Neptune and Vert rushed after the giant turtle. The turtle opened it’s maw wide and attempted to bite Neptune when she got close, but the girl was easily able to avoid it’s attack by jumping over it.
Neptune landed gracefully on top of the palm tree growing out of the monster’s back. “Ta-da!” She cheered.
Vert rolled her eyes as she ran past the creature and stabbed it multiple times with her spear. The spear bounced off the creature several times, but the fifth attack managed to crack the turtle’s shell.
“Now Neptune!” Vert said.
“Roger that!” Neptune said, saluting. Neptune leapt high into the air and began doing several flips, when she came back down she aimed the tip of her katana at the crack in the turtle’s shell. The sound of glass breaking erupted, as Neptune’s sword broke the turtles shell, sending debris flying everywhere.
The turtle opened it’s maw wide, but no sound came out. Instead the creature vanished in a bright flash of light.
“We did it!” Said Vert, holding up her hand.
“Yeah we did!” Neptune said, as she and Vert gave each other a high-five.
“Over here!” Came the voice of Nepgear.
“I heard it too!” Said 5pb..
A few moments later Nepgear and 5pb. appeared before them. “There you two are.” 5pb. said, happily.
“How did you get lost big sister?” Nepgear asked, furrowing her brow.
“Uh no. You two were the ones who got lost.” Said Neptune, wagging a finger at Nepgear. “What did I tell you about going off on your own Nepgear? Does big sister need to punish you?”
“Huh? N-No!” Nepgear said, holding up her hands in defense.
“I’m just glad you two are safe. Shall we continue our journey?” Asked Vert.
“Wait!” 5pb. said, before anyone could make a move. “There’s something I need to tell everyone.”
5pb. took a few moments to tell everyone her future plans. Once she was finished, both Vert and Neptune looked disappointed. “I’m sorry 5pb..” Vert said, once 5pb. finished explaining herself. “I completely forgot about your tour. I’m really sorry about that. I was just so excited about that dream I had, that I forgot everything else. Please forgive me.” Vert said, bowing low.
“Oh please don’t bow!” 5pb. said, surprised by Vert’s reaction.
Neptune bowed low as well. “And I’m really sorry about Vert. Not only did she forget about your tour, but she’s been glomping my baby sister. She’s a terrible woman!”
“Neptune… Do I need to punish you?” Vert asked, an malevolent aura appeared around her. Neptune took several steps away from Vert while still bowing.
“No! Please.!” 5pb. said, trying to get everyone to stop bowing. “There’s nothing to apologize for. I should have told you sooner.” 5pb. suddenly bowed herself.
Nepgear giggled before she bowed. “Were all bowing in the forest.” She said, which caused everyone to start laughing as well.
When the girls stood erect they exchanged glances. “Well. Let’s get out of this forest and send 5pb. off with a smile.” Vert suggested.
It didn’t take the girls very long to reach the Fairy Tower after that. After Neptune activated the tower and were given information on the next one, they all turned their eyes to 5pb..
“I’m sorry. I wish the next Fairy Tower that needed to be activated was around the area your concert took place in, but I don’t have control over that.” Said Histoire.
“No. That’s not your fault.” 5pb. said, trying to reassure Histoire. “Neptune? Nepgear? I’m really happy I could meet you two and I hope we meet up with each other again.” Said 5pb..
“Same here!” Neptune said, saluting.
“Me too!” Nepgear said. “Oh!” Nepgear said, suddenly remembering something very important. “5pb.. I know you have your hands full with your concerts, but please keep using the Fairy Tower. There’s a chance were going to need help with something later and we need as many strong allies as we can get.”
“Huh?” 5pb. said, surprised. “Of course I’ll keep using them to get stronger. I promise you that!” And with those words, 5pb. turned to leave. “See you girls later!” She said, and with that 5pb. left their party.
“I miss her already.” Vert said, wiping a tear away.
“Me too… She had all our pudding in her backpack.” Neptune said, the color in her cheeks vanished.
“Huh? I’m pretty sure your backpack is filled with pudding.” Said Nepgear.
“She also had all our cooking equipment.” Said Vert.
“Oh goodness that’s right!” Nepgear gasped. “I’m really starting to miss 5pb. as well!”

Neptunia Heart Souls- CHAPTER 61
The following day Neptune, Nepgear, Vert and 5pb. headed outside. Each carried a backpack on their backs. Instead of heading out of the small village and making their way to the second Fairy Tower, they instead made their way to the nearest supermarket. The girls grabbed as much food as they could and stuffed their backpacks full of it. The girls also made sure to grab some drinks to keep them hydrated.
“Hey Vert?” Neptune began, noticing her new friend also carried another bag that was slung over her shoulders. “What’s in there?”
“I brought a tea set as well. I would love having afternoon tea with everyone.” Vert explained.
“Oh…” Said Neptune, who wasn’t entirely sure how to feel about having tea.
“And don’t you worry Neptune. I promise I have some tea you’re just going to love!” Said Vert, folding her hands together and smiling brightly.
“Cool!” Neptune said, flashing a thumbs-up-sign.
“Is everyone ready?” Asked Nepgear, as she met her sister and Vert at the front of the shop.
“Everyone except 5pb….” Neptune said, noticing their bard hadn’t returned yet from shopping.
A few moments later 5pb. appeared carrying her backpack in her hands. “Sorry about that. I couldn’t make up my mind on what kind of snacks I wanted to get. There are so many and I didn’t want to get anything anyone wouldn’t like.”
“Oh don’t worry about that dear. Just buy what you’d like to eat. Besides this shopping trip just involves getting provisions for everyone.”
“We loaded up, huh?” Said Nepgear. “I doubt we’ll have to make too many stops to fill back up.”
“Yeah. I got a bunch of good stuff!” Said Neptune, but quickly noticed a look in Nepgear’s eyes. “I didn’t just get pudding. Don’t worry.”
“Oh I wasn’t thinking about that.” Said Nepgear. “I was actually thinking about the city of Leanbox.” Nepgear hesitated for a few moments before she continued. “I know it’s not the point of our visit, but I’m kind of hoping that we’d be able to see the city at least once. That way I can brag to Uni that we’ve seen all the nations capitol cities.” Said Nepgear.
“Oh? Who’s this Uni person?” Vert asked.
“She’s a friend I made back in Lastation. She’s Noire’s little sister.” Said Nepgear.
“Oh my! I hope I can meet her someday.” Said Vert.
“See that Nepgear? She already wants to replace you as a little sister.” Neptune smiled proudly as she draped her arm over Nepgear’s shoulders. “Of course since were already sisters I love you and would never replace you!”
“That’s nonsense.” Vert said, crossing her arms in front of her chest. “I would never replace Nepgear, but I’m open to adopting more little sisters! My love is as big as my chest!” The girl declared.
“It always comes back to your boobs, huh?” Asked Neptune, while Nepgear giggled .
“If were finished here, should we head back to your house Vert?” 5pb. asked.
“Uh… Unless someone needs to use the restroom or something else, we can start our journey now.” Said Vert.
“I’m fine.” Said Nepgear. Neptune shook her head.
“I’m fine. I was just asking.” Said 5pb..
“Okay. Let’s get going girls!” Said Vert. “Nepgear? What direction should we start walking?”
Nepgear removed her N-Gear from it’s holster and looked down at the screen. “Once we leave the shop, were headed north.” With those words, the girls headed outside and turned north. A few moments later the girls were outside the small village and making their way to the next Fairy Tower.
As the girls walked, Neptune made sure to keep an eye on Vert who kept inching closer and closer to Nepgear. Just when Neptune was certain Vert was going to glomp her sister, she began walking away. “Is Vert teasing me or something?” Neptune wondered to herself.
“Look!” Vert said, halting in her tracks.
Neptune looked past Vert who had been leading the charge and saw a group of Horsebird monsters heading towards them. The creatures stamped their hooves angrily as they moved closer and closer to the group.
“Oh! These things look easy to beat.” Neptune said, as she summoned her katana.
“Huh… Something looks odd about these Horsebird’s.” Said 5pb., scratching her chin thoughtfully.
“Aww! Don’t you worry. I’ll beat the mean ole monsters for you!” Neptune said, patting 5pb. on the head.
“Huh? No I’m not scared it’s-” Before 5pb. could finish explaining what it was that worried her, Neptune was racing across the field heading straight for the group of Horsebird monsters.
“Sis! Wait!” Nepgear cried.
Neptune leapt into the air. “Take this!” She screamed. Before Neptune’s attack could land, all the air in the area was suddenly sucked away and a bright light threatened to blind Neptune. Suddenly the girl was engulfed in flames and being thrown several yards backwards.
Neptune screamed loudly before she slammed into the ground and rolled several feet until she finally came to a stop. “Owie.” Neptune said, dully. “I demand a do over.”
“Neptune!” Nepgear cried, as she ran over to her sister and held out her hands. “HEAL!”
Neptune’s body was engulfed in a bright light and all the damage she sustained was healed. After that, Nepgear fell to her knees next to her sister and helped her to sit up. “Are you okay Neptune?”
“I’m fine.” Said Neptune. “That looked worse than it really was.”
“I thought so.” 5pb. said, who was now holding her guitar. “Those monsters are called Horsebird CAW. They’re pretty strong, but I think Vert and I can deal with them.”
“I can deal with them too. I just wasn’t expecting them to blow me up!” Neptune said, as she was helped to her feet by Nepgear.
5pb., Vert, Neptune and Nepgear now stood side-by-side as they faced down the herd of Horsebird CAW monsters.
5pb. lifted her hand, located between her fingers was a guitar pick. 5pb. closed her eyes and held her hand over her head for a few moments before she suddenly brought her hand down hard and fast.
The Horsebird CAW monsters roared as several balls of energy shot out of the guitar and struck the creatures multiple times, causing them to turn away from the girls. After that, Vert rushed forwards and sliced down the middle of the herd. She managed to kill four the creatures before coming to a stop.
Neptune and Nepgear leapt at the herd of the monsters. Neptune managed to kill two, while Nepgear finished off the rest.
“Huh… Didn’t we do this yesterday?” Neptune asked, after feeling a sense of Déjà vu.
“Yeah, well Horsebird monsters can be strong depending on their species, but you can deal with them roughly the same way.” Said Vert. “Anyways, are you sure you’re okay Neptune?”
“I’m alright.” Neptune said. “Sorry about that.”
“As long as you’re okay.” Said Vert.
Neptune suddenly felt suspicious. “Wait a second. Is Vert concerned or is she hoping I eat the dust or something?” Neptune wondered, as she pulled off her backpack and sat it on the ground.
“Neptune?” Nepgear began, furrowing her brows in confusion.
“I’m fine! See?” Neptune said, as she started doing several cartwheels and then did a large flip. Neptune landed gracefully on her feet just a few feet away from Vert.
“Oh my! You’re very flexible!” Vert said.
“Goodness sis. I didn’t know you could do that!” Nepgear said, surprised.
“Never underestimate this Nep!” Neptune said, as she made her way back over to her backpack and swung it over her shoulders. After that the girls continued their journey to the next Fairy Tower.
As they walked, they ran into other monsters, but most of them ignored the girls as they passed. Soon the sun started to set over the horizon and the girls decided to set up camp for the night.
Neptune and Vert gathered fire wood, while Nepgear and 5pb. got things ready for them. 5pb. pulled things out of her backpack for dinner while Nepgear set up their tents. When Neptune and Vert returned with their arms full of firewood, they dumped their catch next to the fire.
“So 5pb. what’s for dinner?” Neptune asked.
“Soup!” Said 5pb..
“Aww…” Neptune said, her shoulders sagged.
5pb. and Nepgear both started laughing. “I’m kidding, I’m kidding!” 5pb. said, as she began pulling out several pots and canisters from her backpack. “I’m actually making a curry tonight.”
“Curry?!” Neptune said, her eyes started sparkling like the stars in the sky above. “Yeah! I love curry!”
“It’s been a while since we ate any.” Said Nepgear, as she tried to remember the last time she and her sister sat down to eat some.
“5pb.’s curry is the best. You two are in for a treat!” Vert said, as she took a seat in front of the fire.
Nepgear soon joined the other girls after she finished setting up two tents. “5pb.? Do you need any help getting things ready?” Nepgear asked.
5pb. shook her head. “That’s alright Nepgear. I appreciate the offer though.” And with that 5pb. started making her special curry. As the girl cooked her meal, the others watched intently.
When the curry was finally finished, Nepgear retrieved four plates and passed them out. Soon each girl had a plate of delicious looking curry. “Thanks for the food!” The four girls said, before they started eating.
“Whoa! This is delicious!” Neptune said, as she shoveled the curry into her mouth.
“I’m glad you like it!” 5pb. said, blushing a little.
“I told you. 5pb. is a genius when it comes to making curry!” Said Vert, pointing at Neptune using her spoon.
“Oh please. I’m not that good.” Said 5pb., blushing even more.
As Neptune continued to eat her meal, the girl couldn’t help but start to enjoy herself. “This is actually pretty fun. I mean I loved hanging out with lonely Noire, but it’s fun having to camp out like this.” Said Neptune.
“You and Noire never camped out?” Nepgear asked.
“A few times.” Said Neptune. “Noire was all business all the time though, but it was still fun.”
“Is Noire really that lonely?” Vert asked, she was starting to feel bad for a girl she had never known.
“She’s not. Noire is the only one who says that.” Said Nepgear, before she continued eating her curry.
“Oh no. She’s lonely.” Said Neptune, giggling mischievously.
“Anyways.” Vert said, changing the subject. “I’m really glad you’re enjoying yourself, but I have a feeling that things are going to start getting harder. The Horsebird monsters we fought are powerful, but they aren’t the only monsters roaming Leanbox.” Said Vert.
“I get that.” Said Neptune. “Don’t worry. I won’t run off on my own or anything like that.”
“That’s good.” Said Nepgear. “I was worried when you exploded.”
“As long as we all work together we’ll be fine.” Said Vert.
5pb. opened her mouth to say something, but quickly changed her mind. “I don’t want to put a damper on anyone’s good mood right now.” The girl thought, as she finished the rest of her curry.
After the other girls finished their curry as well, Nepgear took the plates and began washing them off using water and soap. After the dishes were clean, she gently placed them back into her backpack.
“Well… I guess we should get some sleep.” Said Nepgear, turning to Vert, Neptune and 5pb..
“Very well, but I might have some trouble sleeping.” Said Vert, fidgeting in her seat. “If I don’t have a cute, little sister-like girl to cuddle with tonight, then I’m afraid I’ll never get any rest.”
Neptune sighed deeply. “Vert?” She began.
“Yes Neptune?” Asked Vert, hopefully.
“Good luck with all that! Let’s go Nepgear!” Neptune said, taking Nepgear by the hand and leading her to their tent.
“Oh poo…” Said Vert, sighing herself.
“It’s okay Vert. I’ll cuddle with you.” 5pb. offered.
“Thanks 5pb.. You’re very sweet.” Said Vert.
“You’re welcome Vert.” Said 5pb., before she and her friend headed into their tent next. Soon everyone fell into a deep sleep.

Neptunia Heart Souls- CHAPTER 60
Neptune ran as fast as she could, but slowed down when she spotted a familiar blonde girl appear from behind the Fairy Tower. The girl’s long hair blew in the wind as she took a few steps towards Neptune. “Nice to meet you Neptune.” Said Vert, a warm smile appeared on her face.
Neptune halted in her tracks and returned Vert’s smile. “Hiya Vert! Thanks for coming out to meet us.” said Neptune, excited to meet a new friend.
A few moments later Nepgear and 5pb. joined the girls. “Hi Vert. Were here.” 5pb. said, slightly out of breath.
“Yes. You did a great job.” Said Vert, smiling warmly at her friend. “Nepgear? It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Said Vert, extending a hand to Nepgear. Nepgear took it, but before she could say anything Nepgear found herself being smothered in Vert’s cleavage. “Nepgear? I know we just met, but would you like to call me big sister?”
“Huh?!” Nepgear cried.
“Hey!” Neptune began, as she took several heavy steps towards Vert. “Nepgear is my little sister! You got that Vert?!”
5pb. giggled in embarrassment. “Sorry about that Neptune and Nepgear, Vert has a bad habit of trying to make every girl younger than her, her little sister.”
“Oh I’m sorry.” Vert said, releasing her grip on Nepgear, who had a dazed look on her face. “I’m being very rude. Once I saw how cute and squeezable Nepgear was, I just couldn’t help myself.”
“Uh-Huh…” Neptune said, eyeing Vert as she placed her hands on Nepgear’s shoulders and placed herself between the two girls. “Anyways, I’m going to go ahead and activate this Fairy Tower. We’ll be on our way after that.”
“Oh?” Vert began.
Neptune was about to head over to the Fairy Tower, but the way Vert spoke made the girl stop mid-stride. “Oh, what?” Neptune asked.
“Well…” Very began, as she began fiddling with her fingers. “It’s just that Histoire asked me to help and I was really looking forward to working with you. That’s all…”
Neptune groaned loudly. “Alright, but no more glomping my sister. Deal?”
Vert lit up after hearing this. “Deal!” Vert said, as she grabbed Neptune’s hand and shook it vigorously. After that she turned to Nepgear and threw her arms around her and hugged her face close to her chest once more.
Neptune opened her mouth to complain, but quickly changed her mind. “She’s not going to listen to me, is she?” Neptune thought to herself.
Neptune turned her focus to the Fairy Tower. After fishing out the USB memory stick from her pocket before finding a USB port to insert it. A few moments later the Fairy Tower came to life and Histoire appeared in holographic form. “Good work Neptune and Nepgear on getting here. Vert? 5pb.? Thank you very much for helping them.”
“Oh my, my, my!” Vert said, releasing her grip on Neptune and making her way over to the Fairy Tower. “You are just so adorable I could eat you up!” Vert reached for Histoire, but frowned when her fingers passed through the fairy-like girl.
“Unfortunately I’m just a holograph and I don’t possess a body of my own.” Said Histoire.
“If you saw how Vert was hugging Nepgear earlier, you wouldn’t be saying ‘unfortunately’.” Said Neptune.
“I-I see…” Histoire said. “Anyways, I’m sending the location to the next Fairy Tower to your N-Gear now Nepgear.”
“Thanks.” Nepgear said, taking out her N-Gear and looking down at the screen.
“As for the amount of Fairy Tower’s you’re going to have to activate in Leanbox. It’s six.” Said Histoire.
Neptune sighed deeply. “Six left?” She asked.
“No. Five left.” Said Histoire.
“Oh… Well it’s still bad news.” Said Neptune, sighing once more.
Vert couldn’t contain herself anymore. She began squealing with joy and clapping her hands together. “This is what I’ve been hoping for! This will be just like my favorite MMO! Tell me you two. Have you ever heard of ’Four Goddesses Online’?” Asked Vert.
“No… I don’t think so.” Said Nepgear, trying to remember if she heard of that title before.
“I have!” Said Neptune. “But I couldn’t play because were still on dialup.”
“That’s unfortunate, but if you’ve played typical RPGs before, then I’m sure you’ll get the gist of it.” Said Vert. “Basically I think we should form a party of four. I’ll be the knight.” As Vert spoke, she held out her hand and summoned a spear in her hands. “5pb. of course will play our bard.”
5pb. Smiled and nodded. “Happy to be here.” She said.
Vert gestured towards Neptune and Nepgear who also summoned their weapons as well. “I see…” Vert said, noticing that both Neptune and Nepgear carried swords. “Alright. Neptune will be our warrior while Nepgear… Nepgear do you know any healing spells?” Vert asked.
“I do.” Said Nepgear.
“So do I.” Said Neptune.
“Oh hush up Neptune. Don’t try to confuse me.” Said Vert. “Anyways, Nepgear despite using a sword you’ll be our white mage.”
“Can’t other classes use healing spells too? I’ve seen warriors able to heal themselves and-” Neptune began.
“I’m afraid not. Nepgear is our only healer.” Said Vert.
Neptune looked dully at Vert, before turning to face Histoire. “Alright… I’m done.”
“I have an idea.” Vert said. “I know you and Neptune must be tired, but before we go to my house. Why don’t we fight some monsters together? You know, just to see how strong each other is and what we can expect from one another in battle.”
“Yeah. That sounds like a good idea.” Said Nepgear.
“I’d rather get some pudding, but I don’t mind doing at least this much.” Neptune said, as she shrugged her shoulders.
Vert led the girls to a nearby group of Horsebirds. “Hey. I saw these things in Lastation!” Neptune said.
“It’s not uncommon to see them wandering other nations, but normally the other monsters that live there take care of them.” Said Vert. “Anyways. Is everyone ready?” Vert asked .
“I’m ready.” Said Nepgear.
“I’m ready too.” Said Neptune.
5pb. Sat her guitar case down and took out her instrument. After putting the strap over her neck she nodded as well. “I’m ready!” She said.
Neptune and Nepgear looked back at 5pb., before exchanging quizzical looks. “Alright! Let’s do this ladies!” Neptune announced. Neptune, Nepgear and Vert leapt forwards as they aimed at their respective targets.
Neptune managed to cut down two Horsebird monsters in a split-second before turning her eyes to Nepgear who managed to take down one Horsebird. The girl activated her shield to protect herself from an oncoming attack, but after pushing the creature off she managed to cut it down as well.
Vert dashed down the middle of the Horsebird monsters, cutting down four with a single swing.
Neptune’s eyes went wide. “Whoa! That was awesome Vert!” Neptune said.
“Really awesome!” Said Nepgear.
“Were not done yet.” Vert said.
Three more Horsebird monsters remained. The creatures stamped their hooves and flapped their wings angrily. However, before the creatures could launch any kind of attack 5pb. strummed her guitar. In an instant, three balls of dark energy shot out of the instrument and struck the three monsters killing them instantly.
“I wasn’t expecting that.” Neptune said.
“That was amazing!” Said Nepgear. “I guess you really are our bard.”
5pb. smiled. “Thanks! Though I’m not really sure what a bard’s supposed to do.” 5pb. said.
“Never you mind that.” Vert said. “You all did splendidly! Now, how about we go to my house so we can game… I mean get some rest.”
“Game?” Nepgear said, furrowing her brows.
“I could game.” Said Neptune. “Oh! Do you have any pudding?”
“I do!” Said Vert.
“Ooh! Nice! Let’s get going Nepgear.” Said Neptune.
“Okay.” Nepgear said, as she jogged over to Neptune and Vert. As the girls started walking towards the small village located a mile away, Neptune noticed that Nepgear and Vert were now walking side-by-side. Out of fear that her sister would get glomped again, she squeezed between both girls.
“Oh Neptune. I apologize for hugging your sister before. I was just really excited about our journey. I’ve never done anything like before, so I got carried away. I do apologize.” Vert said, folding her hands together and giving a quick bow.
“Really? That’s all it was?” Neptune asked, suspiciously.
“Really.” Said Vert.
“Well I guess-” Neptune began, but Vert quickly cut her off.
“Great. Glad we could get that out of the way.” Vert said, as she stepped in front of Neptune and forced her backwards. Once again Vert and Nepgear were walking side-by-side. “You must have had a really hard journey so far. Traveling through two countries and expecting to walk through a third. It’s terrible!”
“Oh no. I’m alright. It’s been fun.” Said Nepgear.
“Well if you ever need any help, just call on your big sister. Okay?” Said Vert.
“Yeah! ME!” Neptune cried.
“Huh?” Vert said, glancing over her shoulder at Neptune. For a moment, Neptune wondered if Vert even recognized her. “Of course you Neptune. You are her big sister until…”
“What was that?!” Neptune said. “Until what?”
“Until Nepgear feels like being spoiled and she comes to me.” Said Vert. “And I’ll always be ready to spoil you Nepgear.”
Nepgear giggled nervously. “Th-Thanks Vert, but Neptune’s my big sister.” She said.
“Of course dear.” Said Vert, glancing over her shoulder at Neptune once more.
“This lady is bad news.” Thought Neptune.
When the four girls finally reached the small village, Neptune and Nepgear were surprised. The streets were cobbled and the houses all looked small and quaint. The girls made their way down the streets of the small village and passed by several stores that looked as though they were ripped straight out of RPGs.
“This place is beautiful.” Said Nepgear.
“I’m very fond of it.” Said Vert.
“It’s a very nice place to live and everyone really seems to enjoy hearing me sing.” Said 5pb.. “I’m not bragging or anything, but I’ve actually sung on stage before. I didn’t think I ever could, but everyone was so supportive of me.”
“I would love to hear you sing on stage someday!” Said Nepgear.
“That would be cool. I mean your humming was great, but I can’t wait to hear you sing!” Said Neptune.
“She’s the siren of Leanbox.” Said Vert.
Vert pointed at a house that was located at the very end of the street they were currently walking down. “And that’s my home.” Said Vert.
“Last one’s there is a-” Neptune began, but when she remembered that Vert wanted to glomp her sister, she changed her mind. “Never mind.”
“Shoot.” Vert muttered, under her breath.
Vert reached her door first. After unlocking it, she opened the door and stepped aside so everyone could enter the house. The house was two stories tall. “I have all my bedrooms on the first floor and the second floor is where my office is located.”
“Office, huh?” Said Neptune, as she entered Vert’s home and started looking around.
The room Neptune stood in was fairly large. There was a large television located a few feet away from the door. A couch was located in front of it and a few chairs were located near that. To the right side of the room was a kitchen and a small table. The floors were wooden and the walls were painted white.
“This place is really cute!” Nepgear exclaimed.
“Why thank you!” Vert said, blushing a little. “Neptune? Nepgear? I know we won’t be here for long, but please make yourselves at home.”
“Thanks!” Neptune said, quickly locating the refrigerator and making her way over to it.
Nepgear blushed heavily when she saw her sister open the refrigerator and pull out several items. “Neptune!” Nepgear cried. “Goodness! You need better manners than that!”
“Hey! Vert said make yourselves at home and that’s what I’m doing. Raiding the refrigerator like I would at home.” Neptune said, matter-of-factly.
“It’s okay dear!” Vert said, patting Nepgear on the back. “Most of that will go bad if you don’t eat it anyways. So please Neptune eat all you’d like.”
“If you say so.” Nepgear said, still feeling embarrassed. “Oh what about…” Nepgear began, looking back at 5pb..
“Oh don’t worry about her. 5pb.’s home is actually with me! So of course she’ll make herself at home.” Said Vert.
“Okay! That’s cool!” Said Nepgear.
“Anyways… I figure since we have so much time before it gets dark. Why don’t we play some video games together and get to know each other even more?” Said Vert. “I have some party games.”
“Vert.” Neptune began, suddenly appearing by Vert’s side and patting the girl on the shoulder. “You had me at ‘eat all you’d like’.”

Neptunia Heart Souls- CHAPTER 59
“MAGES. cousin?” Nepgear said, surprised to have met a family member of one of her friends so close to Leanbox’s borders. “It’s really nice to meet you 5pb..” Said Nepgear, bowing her head a little. “I hate to ask, but do you mind if me and my sister come inside? My sister is really exhausted and she could really use the rest.”
“I don’t mind, but can I ask you both a question?” 5pb. asked.
“Of course.” Said Nepgear.
“Are your names Neptune and Nepgear?” 5pb. asked.
Nepgear and Neptune’s eyes went wide. “Th-That depends… Are you seeking revenge or something?” Neptune asked, cautiously.
5pb. giggled and shook her head. “It’s nothing like that.” The girl said, reassuring the two girls. “So can I assume you’re both Neptune and Nepgear?” Asked 5pb. as she placed her left hand high on her hip.
Neptune and Nepgear exchanged nervous glances. “Yes we are.” Nepgear said, gesturing towards her sister. “This is Neptune and I’m Nepgear.”
5pb.’s eyes went wide with delight. “Oh man! I can’t believe it! It’s so nice to meet you two!” The girl said, as she stepped aside. “Please come in! We can talk tomorrow morning if you’re up for it.”
“Thanks…” Nepgear said, as she and her sister stepped into the cabin. Nepgear spotted a large table that dominated the middle of the room. Located around the sides of the room were three small beds, a refrigerator and even a table where several computer monitors were located. “This place is nice.” Nepgear said, looking around the room for anything that could be considered dangerous.
“I’m sorry for surprising you.” 5pb. Said. “I promise. I’m not a threat or anything like that. I’m here to help you two. I promise.”
“Thanks!” Nepgear said, still not certain if she could trust 5pb. or not.
5pb. gestured towards the beds. “Please help yourself to a bed. Also you can have anything you want in the refrigerator if you want. I know you two have been on a very long journey.”
“Yes, but… How do you know that?” Asked Nepgear. “I appreciate your kindness, but you have to admit it’s pretty strange that you know so much about us. Especially considering we’ve never met before.”
“True, but the reason I know so much about you is because of Histoire.” Said 5pb..
“Wait… You know Histoire?” Nepgear asked, surprised.
“Not exactly, but I have a friend who does. Please. Get some rest.” 5pb. said, once again gesturing towards the beds.
“What do you think Neptune?” Nepgear whispered under her breath to her sister.
“Those beds look really inviting.” Neptune said, laughing weakly. “Let’s trust her.”
“Okay…” Nepgear said, sighing deeply.
Neptune and Nepgear took a seat on the edge of different beds. The moment Neptune had removed her shoes the girl had laid back against the bed and closed her eyes and slid her hands behind her head. Soon the girl fell into a deep sleep.
“Your sister must have been really tired.” 5pb. observed.
“Yeah. She’s had a long day.” Said Nepgear. Nepgear folded her hands together in front of her and began fiddling with her fingers. “5pb. you promise to tell us tomorrow how you know us, right?”
5pb. Nodded. “Yes. I promise I’ll tell you both everything.”
“Thanks.” Nepgear said. Nepgear still wasn’t sure if she could trust 5pb. or not, but she was starting to feel tired herself. After removing her shoes, Nepgear laid back against the bed and soon fell into a deep sleep herself.
Nepgear wasn’t sure what it was that woke her up first. The smell of something delicious wafting through the cabin, the bright sun striking her eyes or the sound of someone humming a beautiful melody. Either way, Nepgear opened her eyes and sat up. “Good morning.” She breathed.
“Good morning Nepgear.” Said 5pb.. “I’m getting breakfast ready right now. I hope you’re hungry!”
“Starving.” Said Nepgear, patting her stomach. Nepgear slid her feet into her shoes and stood. Neptune was still sound asleep in bed. “Neptune? Time to wake up.”
“Morning already?” Neptune breathed, as she blinked her eyes open.
“You know what Nepgear? You’re a great big sister.” Said 5pb..
“Oh no.” Nepgear said, shaking her head. “Neptune is actually my big sister.”
“Really?” 5pb. said, surprised. “Sorry about that. You must seem so much more mature.”
Nepgear giggled. “We get that all the time.”
Neptune pulled her shoes on before sleepily making her way to the large table located in the middle of the room. “Something smells good!”
“I made breakfast for everyone.” 5pb. said, as she started pouring some oatmeal into three bowls. After placing them down on the table, 5pb. sat out some glasses with juice in it. After that the three girls sat down.
“Thank you for the food.” All three girls said, in unison.
Neptune eagerly dug into her breakfast, while Nepgear took her time to eat her meal. “We both heard you singing last night. You’re really good.” Nepgear said.
“Thanks.” 5pb. said, blushing heavily. “I used to get so embarrassed when people heard me sing, but thanks to my friends I’m better at performing in front of others.”
Nepgear was eager to find out more about 5pb., but she had more pressing questions for her. Nepgear however, decided to wait until everyone was finished eating. After 5pb. collected everyone’s empty bowls and started doing the dishes, Nepgear’s curiosity had reached a breaking point.
“5pb..” Nepgear began. “Please tell us. How do you know us?”
“Oh!” 5pb. said, quickly turning to Nepgear and Neptune. “I almost forgot about that.” To Nepgear’s dismay, 5pb. didn’t start explaining herself. Instead she made her way over to her computer and began pounding information into it. A few moments later, a beautiful blonde girl appeared on both monitors. “Yes? How can I help you?” The girl asked.
“Vert? It’s me. Neptune and Nepgear are with me!” 5pb. said, smiling brightly.
“Oh? Excellent!” Said Vert, folding her hands together in front of her, a small smile appeared on her face.
“Whoa! Look at those!” Neptune said, her eyes fell on Vert’s chest.
“Neptune!” Nepgear said, her cheeks were bright red.
“Oh I don’t mind getting compliments for my body.” Said Vert, as she cupped her arms underneath her breasts. “I’m so glad that you managed to find 5pb., she’s a dear friend of mine.”
“Were glad too! She’s so nice!” Neptune said, happily.
“So I’m sure you’d love to know how 5pb. and I know you.” Vert began. “Would any of you like to hazard a guess?”
“Ooh! I know.” Neptune said. “I bet Histoire reached out to you in a dream. Right?”
“That’s right.” Said Vert. “She actually reached out to me in a dream. During my dream she asked me to help you and Nepgear activate the Fairy Towers. At first I thought my dream didn’t really mean anything because I’ve never seen or heard of a Fairy Tower before, but after doing a quick search I realized this huge thing located outside my home village is actually a Fairy Tower!”
“Cool!” Neptune said.
“So…” Nepgear began, trying to find the right words to ask her next question. “Why is 5pb. out here meeting us?”
“I can answer that.” 5pb. said. “Vert asked me to meet you two out here and guide you to her village. Though I have to admit, our plan was a little shortsighted. This cabin is hidden pretty well behind all these boulders. I thought you might miss me, so I started singing hoping you might hear me.” Said 5pb., rubbing the back of her head in embarrassment.
“Well it worked out pretty well for us.” Said Nepgear.
“And this welcome is a lot more friendlier than the one we got in Lastation.” Said Neptune.
“Oh dear? What happened in Lastation?” Vert asked, concerned.
“A really mean and lonely bully named Noire attacked us!” Said Neptune. “It was so sad, but we became best buddies.”
“Noire, huh?” Vert began, tapping her lower lip thoughtfully. “It’s strange. I’m missing a lot of memories, but I remember hanging out with a group of girls. I can almost picture them in my head, but at the same time I can’t.”
“Tell me about it.” Neptune said, sighing deeply.
5pb. turned her attention to both Neptune and Nepgear. “So… Are you two ready to get going?” She asked.
“That depends…” Neptune began. “Do you have any pudding here?” She asked.
“Pudding? No. I’m afraid not.” 5pb. said.
“Then were ready to go. Let’s move!” Neptune said, pointing sternly to the door.
“Alright. As soon as I lock up, we’ll get going.” Said 5pb.. “It’ll take us about two hours to reach the Fairy Tower outside Vert’s village.
“Very well. I’m looking forwards to meeting you both.” Said Vert, barely able to contain her excitement.
5pb. turned off her computer and began walking around the cabin closing windows and locking them. Nepgear volunteered to help her, but 5pb. politely refused. “I appreciate it, but I can handle it.”
After all the windows were locked and the girls stepped outside, Neptune, Nepgear and 5pb. headed outside, but not before grabbing a guitar case from underneath her bed. After locking the door to the cabin the girls set out on their journey to Leanbox’s first Fairy Tower.
As Neptune and Nepgear followed close behind 5pb., Neptune couldn’t help, but look at the guitar case 5pb. was carrying. “Uh… 5pb.? Stupid question, but do you play the guitar or do you have a Thompson Submachine Gun hidden in that guitar case?”
“Thompson Submachine Gun? How do you know what those are?” Nepgear asked.
“I played a mafia game at Noire’s.” Said Neptune. “Uni kept bugging me to play it so I finally sat down and gave it a shot. Anyways, you play as this one guy who carries a Thompson Submachine Gun around in a guitar case and every time someone ticks you off you take it out and- BAM! BAM! BAM!” Said Neptune, using her hands to show off what it was like to hold a Thompson Submachine Gun.
5pb. giggled. “I play a guitar.”
“If you play guitar as well as you sing then I bet you’re awesome!” Neptune said.
“I’m okay.” Said 5pb..
The three girls continued their journey to Leanbox. As the minutes slowly ticked by, the boulders that once dotted the land soon vanished. Now the girls were walking through endless fields of grass. A silence fell over the three girls. Not a silence because they didn’t know what to say to each other, but the kind of silence that gave them a chance to appreciate the nature all around them.
The girls could see monsters roaming around the plains, but none of them paid the girls any attention. The sun was shining brightly overhead and a warm breeze blew through the grass.
The girls passed over a small bridge that stood over a beautiful babbling stream. The girls could see Frog-in-the-box and Turtle monsters swimming around in the water, or sunbathing next to the stream.
“This place looks beautiful.” Said Nepgear, interrupting the silence. 5pb. and Neptune nodded, but they didn’t say anything.
Several long moments later 5pb. stopped walking and turned to Neptune and Nepgear. “Alright. Just to let you two know. Were now entering Leanbox! The Fairy Tower is only a few minutes away.”
“Cool! Can’t wait to get started.” Said Neptune. “And by that, I mean buying some more pudding. I’m so close to being out!”
“Don’t worry.” Said 5pb.. “I know a great place to restock on provisions.”
“Sounds good to me. I need to restock on a few things too.” Said Nepgear. “I also need to find a parts store so I can complete my other N-Gear. I need to find a chance to sneak into Leanbox’s Basilicom and continue my search for Histoire.” Nepgear thought to herself.
“Alright. Let’s go!” 5pb. said, turning on her heels.
Neptune and Nepgear followed after 5pb.. A few moments later they both could see a Fairy Tower in the distance. Beyond that was a small, quaint looking village. “There it is!” 5pb. said, pointing straight ahead.
“Yep!” Said Neptune, running ahead of her sister and 5pb.. “Come on everyone! I’ll race you there!”

Neptunia Heart Souls- CHAPTER 58
Nepgear and Neptune walked side-by-side as they continued their journey to Leanbox. During this time, Nepgear explained everything that happened involving Croire’s Fairy Tower. She explained how Neptune had accidentally wandered into another dimension, how they were separated and how an older version of Neptune had rescued her. Nepgear did leave out the fact that she had gotten so upset when she realized she couldn’t find her sister.
“And that’s everything.” Said Nepgear.
“Whoa… That’s creepy.” Neptune said, hugging herself tightly. “Dimensional monsters that look like that? No thank you!”
Nepgear couldn’t help, but giggle. “Yeah. They were creepy, but they weren’t as powerful as I thought they would be. Their roar was something else though.” Nepgear said, shivering a bit when she remembered how horrifying their roar sounded.
“Still. Its cool knowing there’s another Neptune out there. I wish I could have met her. How different was she from me?” Neptune asked.
“Well…” Nepgear began, tapping her lower lip thoughtfully. “She seemed way more mature than you and I felt like I could rely on her more.” Nepgear thought, but quickly decided not to tell Neptune that. “She was a bit older than you and she seemed very reliable.” Said Nepgear.
“Cool!” Said Neptune, excitedly. “Though I’m a little confused about something. How much time did we lose because of that alternate dimension thingy?”
“Good question.” Nepgear said, as she pulled out her N-Gear and looked down at the screen. “It looks like we only wasted a few hours. Nothing we can’t make back up.” Nepgear said, reassuring her sister.
“Well that’s good.” Said Neptune.
The two girls continued walking side-by-side for several long hours. When the sun started to set over the horizon, they decided to set up camp. Neptune pulled out her sleeping bag. Before she placed it on the ground however, she pressed down on the ground using her foot. “Hard. No good nights sleep for me.” Neptune said, sighing deeply. “Oh. How much farther is Leanbox?”
“We still have about a day to go.” Said Nepgear. “So if we wake up early tomorrow and keep up the pace, we should arrive there not tomorrow, but the day after.”
“Great…” Said Neptune. “Any small villages or cities between here and there? I want to sleep in a bed!”
“Sorry big sis.” Nepgear said, shaking her head.
“Great.” Neptune said, her shoulders sagged. “Anyways. If we happen to see any other strange Fairy Towers on our journey. I vote we keep our distance.”
“Yeah.” Said Nepgear, as she pulled out her sleeping bag as well. After that, Nepgear and Neptune began gathering firewood. Considering there were hardly any trees around them, the girls could only find so much wood to burn. After that, Nepgear found some large rocks to surround the fire with.
After making a small circle with the rocks, Nepgear carefully placed the wood inside, before she stuffed some leaves and grass between the wood. After that she lit a match and soon they had a fire roaring. “Nice.” Neptune said, holding her hands out to the fire. Even though it wasn’t really that cold outside, the warmth of the fire was comforting to the girls.
“I wonder what Leanbox is like.” Nepgear said, as she pulled out a small pot of soup. Nepgear sloshed the contents of the pot around for a few moments, before she placed it on the fire.
“Don’t know.” Neptune admitted. “I asked Noire, but she said she’s never been.” Neptune giggled. “No surprise there.”
“Yeah.” Said Nepgear, nodding. “I noticed that Noire and Uni had a lot of pride in Lastation. I don’t think that’s a bad thing of course, but it felt familiar to me.”
“Oh yeah?” Said Neptune.
“Yeah. Like how I feel about Planeptune. Planeptune is my home and I love it and miss it.” Nepgear began. “I feel a lot of pride in Planeptune as well.”
“Yeah, me too.” Said Neptune. “It’s funny how we don’t question that either.”
“Yeah.” Said Nepgear. “A lot has happened on this journey. A lot of things that make me wonder if were doing the right thing. What’s going to happen when we reach the end of our journey. Sitting out here like this makes me miss our home.”
“Yeah, but it’s still fun in its own way.” Said Neptune, smiling brightly.
“What do you mean?” Nepgear asked.
“Think about it baby sister. If we were at home right now I’d be playing video games and eating pudding, you’d be sitting over your workbench. We wouldn’t have met anyone that we had met so far. Red, MAGES., Falcom, Purple Sister, Noire, Uni, Linda or the older version of me! Also…” Neptune began, before she suddenly fell quiet.
“What’s wrong?” Nepgear asked.
Neptune scratched her right cheek. “Suddenly I feel like playing video games while eating pudding.” Neptune said, laughing awkwardly.
Nepgear giggled as well. “I know what you mean, but like you said. We met so many wonderful people that I couldn’t imagine not being on this journey right now.” Said Nepgear.
“Exactly!” Neptune said.
Nepgear and Neptune stopped talking for a few moments. Nepgear lifted the lid off the pot filled with soup and looked down at the contents. After that, she picked up the pot and poured the soup into two cups. “Here you go.” Nepgear said, handing one of the cups over to Neptune.
“Thanks!” Neptune said, taking the cup. “Cheers little sister!” Neptune said, holding up her cup.
“Cheers!” Said Nepgear, holding up her cup as well. The two girls clinked their cups together before they tipped them to their mouths.
“Never thought I would eat soup out of a cup.” Neptune said. “It’s simple, but you’re a super genius for figuring this out.”
“No.” Nepgear said, shaking her head. “I just figured bowls would take up too much room.”
“Ah just take the compliment.” Said Neptune, as she held her cup of soup with her left hand and waved her right one dismissively.
Nepgear didn’t say anymore as she continued to sip her soup. “I love when my sister compliments me, but she doesn’t have to compliment me on everything I do.” Nepgear said, as she began to shift nervously in her seat. Suddenly a small smile appeared on Nepgear’s face and her cheeks grew red. “I really love when she compliments me and pats me on the head.”
“Is something wrong Nepgear?” Asked Neptune.
Nepgear shook her head. “No. Nothings wrong.” Said Nepgear.
After Neptune finished her soup she dragged her backpack over to her and peered inside. “Bad news. I’m almost out of pudding. Guess I should wait to eat anymore.” Neptune said, sighing deeply.
“Sorry about that big sis.” Said Nepgear.
“It’s alright.” Said Neptune, shrugging her shoulders. “Hey. How much soup do we have left?”
“We have half a pot left. Do you want some more?” Nepgear asked.
Neptune shook her head. “Nah. I was just thinking it would be nice to have something to eat in the morning.”
“Okay. Oh and don’t worry if we run out of soup. Uni and Noire loaded me down with breakfast bars and some other things. I think we even have some milk and hot chocolate.”
“Well who needs how soup if we have hot chocolate?” Neptune said. Neptune began playfully kicking her feet for a few moments before she remembered something. “So how are we going to get into Leanbox?”
“Good question.” Nepgear said, as she sat down her empty cup of soup and reached for her N-Gear. Nepgear looked down at the screen and pushed a few commands into her handheld. After a few moments of searching, she looked up at her sister. “It looks like Leanbox has security guarding the border, but they shouldn’t try to stop us from getting in.”
“What should we tell them if they stop us?” Asked Neptune.
Nepgear thought about this for a few moments. “We’ll just tell them that were visiting for a little while and that’s it.” Said Nepgear.
“Sounds good to me.” Said Neptune. “See? You are a super genius! Way smarter than me.”
Nepgear shook her head several times. “Don’t put yourself down like that Neptune. It doesn’t matter who’s smarter. Were sisters and were a team. That’s all that matters.” Said Nepgear.
Neptune suddenly squealed loudly. “Ooh! I love that kind of talk Nepgear! Good thing you’re my sister, cause my heart just swooned!”
“Don’t be weird big sister!” Nepgear said, annoyed.
Neptune couldn’t help, but laugh. Suddenly both Neptune and Nepgear yawned and stretched their hands high over their heads. “Oh man… I feel like I could sleep for a few days.”
“Yeah. I’m tired too, but I’m going to go ahead and set an alarm to wake us up tomorrow morning.” Said Nepgear.
“Yeah. The sooner we get to Leanbox, the sooner we can sleep in beds.” Said Neptune.
“No Neptune. That’s not why were going to Leanbox.” Said Nepgear.
“Oh I know that Nepgear. Were going for exclusive Leanbox pudding, right?” Said Neptune.
“No.” Said Nepgear.
“To find videogames that are only sold in Leanbox?” Neptune offered.
“No sis.” Said Nepgear, shaking her head .
“Well were not going there for any Fairy Towers, right?” Neptune asked.
“Actually we are!” Nepgear said.
“We are? Fairy Towers? This is the first I’m hearing about this.” Said Neptune, a small mischievous smile appeared on her face.
“Enough!” Nepgear cried, pretending to be annoyed. “Bed time!”
“Fine, fine.” Neptune said, suddenly going serious. “I want you sleeping next to me Nepgear. I might need someone to cuddle with tonight.”
Nepgear sighed deeply, but agreed. “Alright.”
Neptune and Nepgear pulled their sleeping bags closer together. After throwing the remains of their firewood onto the fire, they cuddled up close to each other. “Good night big sis.” Nepgear said, closing her eyes.
“Good night little sis.” Said Neptune, hugging her sister close to her chest.
***
The following morning Nepgear’s N-Gear started ringing, stirring the two girls from their sleep. Nepgear sat up and yawned loudly. “Big sis? Time to wake up.” She breathed.
“I’m awake.” Neptune said, her eyes were wide open.
“Did you sleep?” Nepgear asked.
“Hardly…” Neptune said, taking a deep breath. “It’s weird, but once I knew that your alarm was going to go off, I couldn’t sleep.”
“Oh no.” Nepgear said, turning off her N-Gear. “Do you want to sleep in for a while, or…?”
“Nah… I’m getting up.” Neptune said. “I did manage to get a few hours of sleep, but it wasn’t the best.” The girl admitted.
“I’m sorry.” Said Nepgear.
“Don’t be.” Said Neptune, patting her sister on the head. “Come on. Let’s get some hot chocolate and get going.”
“Right.” Said Nepgear, feeling guilty that her sister wasn’t able to get any sleep. While Neptune packed everything away in their backpacks, Nepgear used the milk and chocolate that Noire had given them before they left. After fixing some hot chocolate for them and pouring it into glasses, Nepgear swung on her backpack and stood. “Ready to go when you are.” She said.
“Great. Let’s go!” Neptune said, taking a cup of hot chocolate from her sister.
Neptune and Nepgear continued their journey towards Leanbox. The day passed quickly and before the girls knew it, the sun was starting to set over the horizon once more. The girls were standing in the middle of a plain that had large boulders poking out of the ground. “Were so close to the border of Leanbox.” Nepgear said. “I hate stopping now, but you really need some sleep.”
“Yeah…” Neptune said, her arms were drooping lifelessly by her sides. “I feel like I’m going to pass out.”
“Here… Why don’t you rest and I’ll…” Nepgear stopped speaking the moment she heard the sound of someone singing. The song was unlike anything she had heard before. “Neptune? Do you hear that singing?” She asked.
“Huh? Sleeping?” Neptune said. “Sure. I could sleep.”
Nepgear made her way over to Neptune and took the girl by the hand. “Come on. Let’s see who’s singing.” Said Nepgear.
Nepgear led her sister through the plain, around the large boulders and soon found themselves standing in front of a small cabin. The cabin’s windows were partially open and a light could be seen coming from inside. Nepgear took a deep breath. “I hope they’ll help us.” Nepgear thought, as she led her sister to the cabin’s front door.
Nepgear knocked on the door and moments later it was opened. “Huh?” Nepgear said, blinking her eyes several times. “MAGES. is that you?”
“No, but I have a cousin named MAGES..” Said the girl who stood before them. “Nice to meet you two!” The girl said, smiling brightly. “My name is 5pb.”

Neptunia Heart Souls- CHAPTER 57
Nepgear squeezed her eyes shut as tightly as she could. When she opened them back up the girl who introduced herself before as Neptune, was still standing in front of her smiling brightly. “You look… so much like my big sister.” Nepgear said, taking a few steps backwards. “You’re not my big sister, are you?” Nepgear thought, fearful that something had caused her sister to age by several years.
“I wish, but no. I don’t have any cute siblings like you.” Said Neptune, as she reached behind her back and pulled out a strange book. When the book opened, Nepgear gasped. Sitting between the books pages was Croire.
“Croire what are you… What’s going on here?” Nepgear asked, suddenly feeling like she was going crazy.
“So you know who I am?” Croire asked, crossing her arms in front of her. “Let me guess. My big mouth other self told you?”
Nepgear turned towards the Fairy Tower and spotted the holographic version of Croire smirking. “That’s right. It’s your fault for leaving me alone for so long. I had to use some idiot to help me get back.”
“What do you mean?” Nepgear asked, confused.
“Don’t listen to her.” Said Neptune, giggling. “Croire here in my book is the original. The Croire over there is the name of the AI who’s supposed to help adventurers when they use the Fairy Tower.” Neptune explained. “As you can see she isn’t very friendly.
“Hey!” The original Croire said, annoyed. “Calling her unfriendly is the same as calling me unfriendly.”
“Which is why I said it.” Neptune said, her voice trailed a bit as she spoke.
“Oh? Well who’s the big jerk who helped you to travel here, huh?” Croire asked.
Neptune giggled. “I’m sorry Croire. I still love you.” She said, giving Croire’s head a small pat.
Croire grumbled loudly, but she didn’t shoo Neptune’s fingers away. Nepgear watched this for a few moments, before she suddenly felt tears form in the corners of her eyes. “W-Why are you two being like this? I’m missing my big sister right now. I have no idea where I am.”
Neptune and Croire’s smiles instantly vanished. “See? You’re such a big jerk Neptune!” Croire snapped.
“Hey! Who are you calling a jerk?” Neptune snapped back.
“You you jerk! Croire said.
“Only a jerk calls someone else a jerk you jerk!” Neptune said, before she and Croire began growling at one another. Neptune sighed deeply before she made her way over to Nepgear. “I’m sorry sweetie. I’ll help you.”
“Really?” Nepgear asked. “How? Where are we right now?”
“Right now you’re in a pocket dimension.” Croire said, matter-of-factly. “And this pocket dimension is actually located in our dimension, but oddly enough it’s connected to your dimension as well.”
“How? Why?” Nepgear asked.
“Well…” Croire began, as she closed her eyes and searched for the data. “About seven years ago we were working on our alternate dimension technology. We were actually visited by a ‘special’ guest that told us that it was possible. Not only that, but they also told us that I had the ability to do it stored in my memory. So after a search that took about three months, I managed to find all the information we needed to travel between dimensions.” Croire explained.
“Unfortunately our technology wasn’t exactly perfect. We made a few mistakes and this Fairy Tower was one of them.” Said Croire.
“One of them?” Said Nepgear.
“What do you mean?” The Fairy Tower’s Croire demanded. “I was sent to this stupid dimension three years ago! I had no one to talk to or anything! You know how lonely that is?” The holographic girl demanded.
“Yeah, yeah.” Said the original Croire, blushing a little. “Anyways during one of our experiments we accidentally sent this Fairy Tower to another dimension and lost contact with it. We tried to find it as soon as it vanished, but it was gone. It took us about six years to find it.”
“Wait…” Nepgear said, confused. “You said you were stuck here for three years.” Nepgear said, glancing over her shoulder at the holographic Croire.
“I was.” Said Croire. “You calling me a liar?” She demanded.
“It’s obvious isn’t it?” Croire said. “Time passes differently here.”
“That’s right.” Nepgear said, suddenly remembering something her sister had told her. “My sister ran into the forest and suddenly appeared behind me seconds later. She said that she got lost for a few hours before making it back here.” Said Nepgear.
“That’s how unstable this dimension is. If I had to guess. She ran right into this dimension before making it back into her original dimension.” Said Neptune. “She’s actually lucky she managed to make it back at all.”
“Wait. Your dimension is unstable?” Nepgear asked.
“Oh right! Were not in our dimension!” Croire said, smiling proudly. “We actually created a pocket dimension. That’s why it took us so long to find the Fairy Tower. We didn’t even think creating a pocket dimension was even possible.” Said Croire. “This pocket dimension is being manipulated by not only our dimensions natural frequency, but your worlds natural frequency.”
“What does that mean?” Nepgear asked.
“It just means…” Croire began.
Nepgear shook her head. “No. That’s not what I’m asking.”
“Huh?” Croire said. The fairy like girl opened her mouth to snap at Nepgear for cutting her off, but Neptune placed a single finger on top of her head.
“Hold it Croire. I think I know what’s she’s asking.” Neptune said. “Nepgear? It’s alright. What were here to do is send the Fairy Tower back to our dimension. We’ll take you with us to our dimension for a moment and send you back to your own. Okay?”
“Really?” Said Nepgear, hopefully.
“Really.” Said Neptune, smiling warmly at the girl. “I know all of this is scary, but I promise you you’ll be fine. I have a soft spot for cute girls like yourself.”
Nepgear blushed a little. “Thanks… Neptune.” She said. Nepgear took a deep breath before she added. “I don’t want to make you feel awkward or anything, but you look like my big sister.” She said.
“Really? Was she a Nep too?” Neptune asked.
“Yeah.” Said Nepgear. “She means the world to me.”
“I get it.” Said Neptune. “I might not have any siblings, but I get it.” Neptune suddenly looked down at Croire. “Well Croire? Let’s get started, okay?”
“Yeah, yeah.” Said Croire. “I just need to do a few tweaks to the Fairy Tower. You idiots should stay here and not wander off.”
“Do you need any help?” Nepgear asked. “I’ve been wanting to see inside the Fairy Tower and…”
“Heck no!” Both the original Croire and Fairy Tower Croire said, in unison. “She wants to take me apart!” Said the Fairy Tower Croire.
Neptune giggled as she walked up to Nepgear and patted the girl on the shoulder. “You’re a curious one aren’t you little sis?”
“Little sis?” Nepgear said.
“Oh! Sorry!” Neptune said, holding her hand up to her mouth.
Nepgear shook her head. “No. It’s okay. Do you mind if I call you big sister?” Nepgear asked.
“Of course!” Neptune said, happily.
Just as the words left Neptune’s mouth, the girls heard the sound of several twigs snapping and the rustling of leafs. “This isn’t good.” Neptune said, twirling on her heels and summoning two swords.
“What’s going on?” Nepgear asked, as she summoned her energy sword. Nepgear’s question was answered when several strange creatures appeared out of the forest and from behind buildings. The creatures stood well over five feet tall, they had long arms and legs and strange cylindrical bodies. Their skin looked translucent and they had strange orbs located in the middle of their bodies. Not only that, but strange veins were connected to those orbs and ran throughout their entire bodies.
“These are dimensional monsters. They live in unstable pocket dimensions like these. These things are bad news.” Neptune said. “Croire? Call me if anything happens.”
“Right.” Croire said.
The creature’s roared an otherworldly roar that sent chills down Nepgear’s spine. “Oh my goodness.” Nepgear cried, all the color drained from her cheeks.
“Hey little sister?” Neptune said, turning to Nepgear and smiling. “Just take a deep breath and follow my lead. Okay?”
Nepgear wasn’t sure why, but she knew she could trust this Neptune. “Right.” Nepgear said, regaining her courage.
Neptune and Nepgear suddenly rushed forwards and launched an attack on the strange creatures.
Neptune was faster and managed to reach the dimensional monsters first. Leaping into the air Neptune brought both of her swords down on one of the monsters easily cleaving it in two. After that she leapt between two of the monsters cutting them down as she flew past.
Nepgear watched as Neptune easily killed three of the strange monsters in mere seconds. Unlike regular monsters these creatures didn’t simply blink out of existence. Instead their bodies seemed to fade until they vanished completely.
Nepgear ran to one of the creatures as well and easily sliced through it. After that she cut down several others. “These things aren’t as tough as I thought they would be.” Nepgear said, aloud.
“Their roars are worse than their bite.” Said Neptune, as she cut down several more of the monsters. “If you’re not used to them, they could overwhelm you with creepiness, but you’re doing great!” Neptune said, smiling brightly at Nepgear.
“Thanks!” Nepgear said, as she cut down another monster.
As the seconds slowly turned into minutes the amount of monsters started to dissipate until none of them remained. Nepgear took several deep breaths before she made her way over to Neptune.
“Good work little sister.” Neptune said, patting the girl on the head.
Nepgear blushed. “Thanks Neptune.”
Neptune and Nepgear returned to the Fairy Tower. To their surprise a huge section of the Fairy Tower had been open and several large pieces of machinery were lying on the ground.
“Wh-What happened here?” Nepgear cried.
“It’s fine. I just had to rewire some stuff.” The original Croire said.
The Fairy Tower’s Croire screamed and pointed a stern finger at Nepgear. “Turn around! This is private!” She cried.
Nepgear quickly turned around. “Sorry!” She cried.
“I told you she would look at my insides! This is so embarrassing!” The Fairy Tower Croire said.
“Whatever.” Said the original Croire.
“Not whatever! This is all your fault! I was sent to this stupid pocket dimension and forgot about for six years!” The Fairy Tower Croire cried.
“We didn’t forget about you, you idiot.” Said the original Croire.
“It’s still your fault!” The Fairy Tower Croire said.
“I know… I’m sorry.” Said Croire.
Neptune and Nepgear giggled nervously while the Original Croire completed her work. Even though Nepgear was really curious to see how the tiny Croire was able to lift the giant machines that were located inside the Fairy Tower, the girl decided to not look.
“Alright. I’m finished.” Said Croire. “The problem was a simple one. The internal power-”
“Shut up!” The Fairy Tower Croire cried.
“Anyways, we can leave now.” Said Croire.
“Great. You take care of the Fairy Tower.” Said Neptune, as she turned to Nepgear and extended her hand to the girl. “Okay. So I’ll take you to our dimension. The moment we leave, this pocket dimension will vanish.”
“Wait.” Nepgear said, shaking her head. “What if someone or my sister walked back into this dimension? What will we do?” Nepgear asked, holding her hands close to her chest.
“Not happening. The first thing I did was seal off all entrances to this pocket dimension.” Said Croire. “The only thing that could have gotten in were those dimensional monsters.”
“That’s a relief.” Nepgear said, before she reached out and took Neptune’s hand into her own.
The moment Nepgear took Neptune’s hand into her own, a large white doorway appeared behind Neptune. Neptune smiled as she started backing up leading Nepgear through the doorway.
One moment later, Nepgear and Neptune stood in the middle of a forest, but this one didn’t look foggy or dull. Instead it was filled with vibrant greens and singing birds. The sun overhead was large and warm on their skin. “Wow…” Nepgear said, glancing around the area.
Besides the Fairy Tower, nothing manmade existed there. “Where are the buildings?” Neptune asked.
“Those buildings never existed in our dimension. They only existed in your dimension.” Said Neptune.
“That’s weird. The buildings in my dimension didn’t have furniture, but they did in the pocket dimension.” Said Nepgear.
“Dimensional hopping can be weird.” Said Neptune, giggling and scratching the back of her head nervously. “I’ve seen some things in my life.”
Nepgear smiled. “Thanks for everything Neptune.” She said.
“Aww. It’s my pleasure!” Neptune said. “I wish we had more time together, but I should send you on your way.”
“Right.” Nepgear said, as a large door appeared behind her. “See you Croire’s!” Nepgear said.
“Whatever!” Both Croire’s said, in unison.
“Bye Neptune!” Said Nepgear, turning and disappearing through the white doorway.
The moment the doorway vanished, Neptune sighed deeply. “What’s wrong with you?” The original Croire asked.
“Nepgear makes me wish I had a little sister of my own.” Neptune said, shrugging her shoulders. “That’s all.” The moment Neptune stopped speaking a large shadow fell over her. Looking up Neptune’s smile vanished. “What the heck is that?” She asked.
***
Neptune and Histoire continued searching for Nepgear, but it was impossible to locate the girl. They moved from building to building and even tried to check the forest, but no matter how many times they ran into the forest they only reappeared back in front of the Fairy Tower.
“This is freaky!” Neptune said, her hands were shaking by her sides.
“Neptune. I feel…” Histoire began, but before she could finish speaking the fairy girl had vanished.
“Histoire? HISTOIRE!” Neptune cried. “Oh… I don’t like being alone like this…” Neptune fell to her knees as tears formed in the corners of her eyes. “Ooh… So this is how it feels to be Noire.”
Neptune felt tears trickling down her cheeks, but her tears stopped when she noticed something had changed in the forest. The fog that once dominated the area had suddenly vanished. Not only that, but the green had also returned to the forest as though by magic.
Neptune’s eyes went wide when she noticed something else was changing as well. In a split second several sections on the Fairy Tower had been opened and large machines were now on the ground. A second later the machine parts were inserted back into the Fairy Tower and those sections that were once open were now closed. After that the entire Fairy Tower had vanished.
Neptune slowly got to her feet. The moment she stood fully erect Nepgear was back in front of her.
“Big sister!” Nepgear cried.
“Little sister!” Neptune sobbed, before she threw her arms around Nepgear and started crying. “I missed you Nepgear!” The girl cried.
Nepgear couldn’t help, but cry as well. “I missed you too!” Nepgear said, holding her sister close.
After the girls managed to settle themselves down, they looked into each others eyes. “So what happened?” Neptune asked.
“It’s a long story, but… I actually got help from the original Croire and Neptune.” Said Nepgear.
Neptune furrowed her brow. “You met another Neptune, huh?” She asked.
Nepgear nodded. “Yeah. And she helped me out a lot.”
Neptune giggled and smiled proudly. “Of course she did! All Neptune’s are awesome like that!”
